CCR MISSION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Professional Course for CCR Technicians

Poseidon holds its standards for CCR (Closed-Circuit Rebreather) service to the highest level. With such advanced life-support systems, only highly trained technicians are authorized to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.
To ensure global consistency and safety, Poseidon has developed a specialized certification course for service technicians working with the MISSION, and MISSION2 rebreather units.

This intensive technical course trains participants to perform official maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on Poseidon’s rebreather systems.
Participants will learn to:
  • Understand the internal structure and operation of MISSION units
  • Perform full disassembly, cleaning, replacement of components, and sensor recalibration
  • Use Poseidon Dive Management software for system diagnostics
  • Conduct both static and dynamic performance testing
  • Follow strict safety protocols for oxygen handling, electronics, and high-pressure systems

 

Prerequisites

  • Poseidon GMT service technician.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and oxygen safety
  • Rebreather diving experience (recommended, not required)

Course Formats

The Poseidon CCR Pro Service Technician course is available in two formats: On-site and Online.

On-Site Training – Poseidon Pro Academy Offices

  • Hands-on training with full MISSION and MISSION 2 units
  • Access to dedicated technical tools and diagnostic software
  • Led by certified Poseidon Pro Academy Instructors

 

Online Training – Remote with Shipped Kit

  • Complete tool and training kit shipped to participants
  • Live video training sessions and access to recordings
  • Poseidon Pro Academy manages all shipping and return logistics
  • Refundable deposit required for the kit

Course Structure

The CCR Service Technician course consists of 6 modules delivered over one day (total duration: 8 hours):
  • Session 1: Introduction, CCR function, Poseidon history, documentation, tools and configurator.
  • Session 2: BCDs, handle, stand, QRM canister and QRM tanks.
  • Session 3: E-Module, Oxygen Sensor, HUD, paddle-M28, HP&LP sensor banjo and battery.
  • Session 4: Loop, hoses, counter lungs, water tramps and scrubber.
  • Session 5: Tanks, BOB, MAV, CPOT.
  • Session 6: Predive checks, APP Reff upgrades.

After the Course

Certified technicians are authorized to service their own Poseidon CCR Mission units. To provide service for third parties, technicians must be affiliated with an Authorized Poseidon Service Center, ensuring quality and compliance worldwide.
